In this paper, we explore the influence of union structure and wage pricing\nstrategies on the welfare under a mixed oligopoly which has a public firm\nwith budget constraint. We showed that, the total utilities of the decentralized\nunions are higher than the utility of the centralized union under mixed duopoly\nif the centralized union charges a uniform wage and the productivity\ndifference is large. The government should restrict the centralized union\nformed by the public and the private firm to charge discriminatory wages,\nand to avoid the improper use of the monopoly power of the labour union....
Employee IT user satisfaction is important for companies, especially in regulated industries\nas financial services, especially for workers interacting directly with the clients. This paper\nanalyses the impact of various factors against rating given for IT User Satisfaction in a bank.\nIn retail banking, customer-facing employees need to provide service for simple or complex\ntransaction, as well as financial advice. We found that IT user experience is influenced\npositively by the trust in organization willingness to change based on the userâ??s feedback as\nwell as the support provided as helpdesk but negatively impacted by multiple application\nperformance, stability issues or infrastructure performance, as part of the expected value of\nusing IT as a job support tool. Qualitative-exploratory and quantitative research was\nperformed using techniques as segmentation, decision tree or multinomial linear\nregression. Data analysis was performed on 608 survey responses out of a population of\n3000 individuals. Transcript data collected during interviews was processed using natural\nlanguage processing technics in Python in parallel to human driven classification to provide\nadditional potential insight as part of content analysis phase (clustering of keywords based\non tfidf vectors scores, extraction of most relevant words for clusters). We found that\ntextual data are very powerful especially when using visualization but in general due limited\ncorpus size and bias from selection process in interviews would be useful to collect more\ndata, maybe from helpdesk system and email communication for IT support. Theoretical\nand practical implications are discussed through the lens of the Technology Acceptance\nModel to explain the impact of the main factors influencing the perception of the overall IT\nlandscape....

Background: Community health workers (CHWs) are an important component of the health workforce in many\ncountries. The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed a guideline to support the integration of CHWs\ninto health systems. This study assesses stakeholdersâ?? valuation of outcomes of interest, acceptability and feasibility\nof policy options considered for the CHW guideline development.\nMethods: A cross-sectional mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative) study targeting stakeholders involved\ndirectly or indirectly in country implementation of CHW programmes was conducted in 2017. Data was collected\nfrom 96 stakeholders from five WHO regions using an online questionnaire. A Likert scale (1 to 9) was used to\ngrade participantsâ?? assessments of the outcomes of interest, and the acceptability and feasibility of policy options\nwere considered.\nResults: All outcomes of interest were considered by at least 90% of participants as â??importantâ?? or â??criticalâ??. Most\ncritical outcomes were â??improved quality of CHW health servicesâ?? and â??increased health service coverageâ?? (91.5% and\n86.2% participants judging them as â??criticalâ?? respectively). Out of 40 policy options, 35 were considered as â??definitely\nacceptableâ?? and 36 â??definitely feasibleâ?? by most participants. The least acceptable option (37% of participants rating\nâ??definitely not acceptableâ??) was the selection of candidates based on age. The least feasible option (29% of participants\nrating â??definitely not feasibleâ??) was the selection of CHWs with a minimum of secondary education.\nConclusion: Outcomes of interest and policy options proposed were rated highly by most stakeholders. This finding\nhelps to reinforce their usefulness in meeting the expectations of the CHW guideline end-users to properly integrate\nCHWs into health systems....
